“Annotations” is a CybSafe feature that allows CybSafe Administrators to add supplementary notes to CybSafe content. The annotations can offer users extra information on aspects of security that are unique to individual organisations.
Annotations help to reinforce organisational procedures and policies, and can also help relate CybSafe content to everyday security practices.
How to add annotations
To add annotations, first navigate to the CybSafe module you’d like to annotate.
Click on the “Annotate” link to the right of the content.
Give your annotation a relevant title and add the information you want users to see within the content box.
You can also add the annotation in another language from the "add another language" drop down menu.
You can also select which groups will receive the annotation. By not selecting a group, everyone can see the annotation when published.
Finally select publish annotation and click Submit
When an annotation is published, all users will be able to see it (assuming the annotation has not been restricted to individual groups only). Published annotations will be displayed in a box with a CybSafe logo next to it.
Annotations overview
You can see an overview of all annotations, published and not, in the Annotations overview page.
Here you can see the title and content of the annotation along with which module it is in. It will also inform you who created an annotation and when, as well as if it is published or not.
You can filter annotations by module and published status using the filters at the top of the page.
Create custom content in modules
You can also use the annotations feature to edit content in CybSafe modules, not just annotate them!
