“Annotations” is a CybSafe feature that allows CybSafe Administrators to add supplementary notes to CybSafe content. The annotations can offer users extra information on aspects of security that are unique to individual organisations. 

Annotations help to reinforce organisational procedures and policies, and can also help relate CybSafe content to everyday security practices.

How to add annotations

  1. To add annotations, first navigate to the CybSafe module you’d like to annotate.
  2. Click on the “Annotate” link to the right of the content.
  3. Give your annotation a relevant title and add the information you want users to see within the content box.
  4. In the third box, you can select the departments you would like to see the annotation.

When an annotation is published, all users will be able to see it (assuming the annotation has not been restricted to individual departments only). Published annotations will be displayed in a box with an orange border.
 
Should the annotation remain unpublished, only other CybSafe Administrators will be able to see it. Unpublished annotations will be displayed in a box with a grey border.
