CybSafe is committed to providing an educational service for the widest possible audience. As part of this commitment, the CybSafe platform is built along internationally recognised accessible website guidelines produced by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and is working towards A level of WCAG 2.0 guidelines with an aim for compliance by September 2020.
Maintaining and optimising CybSafe’s accessibility is an ongoing endeavour to help make the platform as open and inclusive as possible.
Whilst we are moving towards this, we understand that there may be a need for reading aids in order to access the content. We are compatible with browser extensions that improve readability such as OpenDyslexic Font for Chrome. You can also use text-to-speech software and reading aids such as Read&Write or ClaroRead.
CybSafe reviews content so that our educational material is accessible using simple, jargon-free language with short sentences, supporting images and videos to enhance comprehension. We regularly benchmark ourselves using the Flesh-Kincaid readability test to improve reading ease.
